Scouse Day is coming!

HOW TO TAKE PART IN SCOUSE DAY

Firstly there are a couple of essential home grown ingredients required to make International Scouse Day a major success; A generous helping of humour and a large pinch of fun.

Then you must plan your party to raise lots of much needed cash for the children at Alder Hey Hospital who have cancer. Inform as many people far and wide about International Scouse Day.

There are Scousers and friends who can help the appeal all over the world, tell them what is happening and why. You can actively do this by phone, fax, flyers, or even better, by email.

If they have Internet access tell them to visit this site for the latest information and news all about International Scouse Day. You can telephone the appeal office on +44(0)151-252 5395 for official posters and tent cards or simply select the link below and apply for a press pack online.

Then, well in advance put up the posters advertising your scouse party. On the 22nd of March make a large pan of scouse and serve it with crusty bread, red cabbage and brown sauce to all your guests, but ask them for a minimum donation of £1 or the equivalent amount in your own currency. You can even sell it to staff or customers for what ever amount you like, but be sure to inform them that £1 will be donated to Alder Hey. Of course, you can donate all your proceeds if you wish, but be sure to tell your customers this also.

Don't forget the vegaterians and make a pan of Blind Scouse (no meat), even try adding a theme to your event, play Beatles music, take photographs and most of all raise cash for the kiddies' appeal.

Once you have the cash send it to the appeal centre and await the arrival of your thank you letter and appeal certificate.

If your planning on holding an International Scouse Day celebration then be sure to register the location, where ever it is in the world, so that we can post it on our events board.
